The Tasty Great Mountie Bake Off 2025 Did Not Disappoint!

The popular annual Great Mountie Bake Off proudly raised hundreds of pounds for our school charity, Dementia Forward, in our sunny dining hall.

Pupils from Pre-school to Sixth Formers spent their evenings baking an assortment of delectable treats, from towering cakes to bite-sized delights. With the categories of: cakes, cupcakes, and free-from, there really was something for everyone to indulge in.

There were over fifty intricate and yummy entries from throughout the school and the catering team and judges had a deliciously difficult time picking the winners. They tasted each entry very carefully, judging them on flavour, presentation and creativity. Every entry earned a House point.

Cakes were then auctioned to raise money for our charity, Dementia Forward. Thank you to all who baked, bid, bought and ate their way through these seriously sumptuous treats!

Mr Waddington, Head of Sixth Form College, said, “The effort and care taken to produce these fabulous creations was tremendous. We are delighted to have raised nearly £200 already and the total will continue to rise with the afterschool bake sale this evening. Bravo to all who took part!”

In the midst of laughter and conversation, the talented winners were announced.

Pupils then pooled their money for the auction and bought giant cakes to share, and cupcake batches to give out, as the perfect snack before afterschool clubs!
