It’s been quite a week in Sports and PE!
Congratulations to our U11 Netball girls (above) who won their YSSN tournament and will now represent York at the North Yorkshire Youth Games! The girls have been training very hard and have also been helping the younger girls with their netball skills. It’s a well-deserved win, all around.
Senior School girls (left) enjoyed a treat of a trip, travelling to Middlesborough’s Riverside stadium to watch the England Lionesses take on Brazil’s women’s team.
U12 and U13 Netball played brilliantly in their first fixture of the season at Bootham. The U12s played out of their skins for a 15-3 win and the U13 squad played very hard for a 10-10 draw.
Our U14 and U15 Football teams faced stiff opposition in their tournament at Bootham, including sides from Joseph Rowntree School and Archbishop Holgates. The girls played a challenging but enjoyable afternoon of football.
U14 Netball played in the national tournament at Joseph Rowntree School which is a great start to the season. The tournament got them off to a great start because they won their double-header against Archbishop Holgates earlier in the week.
U16 Netball (pictured) came third in their pool in the National tournament. Well done, girls!
