Our Chamber Choir Delights with Evensong at Ripon Cathedral

On Monday, our talented and versatile Chamber Choir sang Choral Evensong at beautiful Ripon Cathedral following their lovely Evensong at Hexham Abbey last autumn.
We were lucky to be joined on the trip by highly-accomplished York Minster Assistant Organist Adam Wilson who played for the service. Thank you, for supporting us, Adam.
Thanks also to families who made the journey for this wonderfully-moving musical event.
A member of the congregation, came over to say:
What beautiful singing. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Please pass on our thanks and congrats to the choir.”
Agnes, Year 7, said:
“It was a wonderful day. I enjoyed leading the procession on my side of choir but it was nerve-racking as you had to walk at exactly the same time and speed as your partner. The repertoire was challenging but lovely. It was a peaceful experience and the pizza afterwards was a tasty reward!”
After Evensong, the choir enjoyed a well-earned pizza and drink, and some families joined for a spontaneous school community meal.
What a delightful way to spend a Monday, and many thanks to Ripon Cathedral for welcoming us. We will be back!
