Following the success of the MSA Christmas Fayre in December, a cheque for 20% of the events total profit was donated to chosen charity, St Leonard’s Hospice this week.
With kind thanks to the many local creators, food vendors and small business owners who dedicated their time to hold stalls, and the generosity of the general public, the MSA were able to pay forward this charitable donation.
Amongst those representing small businesses were Alexia and Minnie, both in Year 8, with their new business venture; Pig and Mins. The girls skilfully came up with the idea during the school holidays and have since discovered a brilliant way to combine an activity they love, with a clever way to make pocket money, and help raise funds for charities like St Leonard’s Hospice.
To congratulate them on their success, Alexia and Minnie were selected to represent the MSA in handing over the funds raised to the charity.
“Thank you so much for the incredible amount raised for St Leonard’s Hospice. We are very grateful for your amazing support. Also, a massive well done to Alexia and Minnie for their homemade gift stall success.”
“Thank you all so much, what a great success the event has been.” – Janine and everyone at St Leonard’s Hospice
