Children in the Junior School honoured the start of the harvest season this week as they welcomed parents and family members to spectate their annual Harvest Festival Celebration.
With an abundance of enthusiasm, pupils sang a collective of songs, ranging from the traditional and much-loved hymn, ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ to the upbeat and energetic ‘Harvest Samba,’ complete with choreography. Early Years and Reception were joined by the Senior Chamber Choir to collaborate on a group performance, allowing the younger and elder girls to highlight how they harmonise together beautifully.
In addition to songs, pupils also read aloud poems and prayers, and the children in Early Years proudly accompanied a performance with their nature inspired artwork. As the afternoon celebrations drew to a close, the audience were invited to give thanks to the land in a moment of silent reflection followed by refreshments in the Dining Hall.
