Refurbished Fitness & Gym Suite Preview Opening

After Saturday’s Open Day last weekend, guests, parents and pupils were invited to the preview opening of our newly refurbished Fitness & Gym suite.  

Following an extensive renovation and remodelling plan, the new gym and fitness centre boasts a range of free weights and specialist equipment that caters for all ages and abilities, alongside a substantial suite of cardiovascular machines.  

Our Sports Scholars were first introduced to the improved area and invited to make suggestions for decorating the walls suggesting inspirational quotes from females in sports. With the final finishing touches nearing completion, we were honoured to share with friends and families the transformation of the area into a professional strength and conditioning training facility.  

The large investment to create a Fitness and Gym suite is a key part of the School’s strategy to continually update and refresh our facilities and provision for our pupils. The Sports Centre will also be used by York City Football Foundation and their Female-pathway programmes.
