The girls in Years 3 – 6 certainly embraced the opportunity to #liveadventurously this week, as they spent an exhilarating three days away at Robinwood Activity Centre.
Situated at Barbaigh Hall in the Lake District, Robinwood offers the perfect opportunity to tackle an array of challenges and activities, both individually and working as part of a team.
Over the three days, the pupils faced many obstacles as they scaled high ropes, swung amongst the trees, climbed the walls and even evaded a tank of hungry piranhas! A consistent favourite with the girls, the Robinwood residential is a highlight of the year for many. The unique trip allows the children to explore the great outdoors, all while strengthening friendships and building an unformidable bond that can only be achieved through shared experiences and making memories.
Day one got off to a flying start, armed with blackout goggles and a guide rope, the girls guided one another through the nightline and in a similarly encouraging activity, small teams worked together to conquer the crate challenge. Attached to ropes, participants piled plastic crates to make a tower they could clamber up.
It wasn’t all high wires and treetops for the girls, they also took to the water as they enjoyed canoeing and caving on the second day of their trip, and successfully dodged the piranhas as they made their way over the water tanks before they were released.
With such a jam-packed schedule and lots of laughter and giggles, a very quiet and sleepy journey home is anticipated, we can’t wait to hear all about it next week when the girls return to school.
