Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Duke of Edinburgh's Award

2e1ax default entry DofE-web

We offer students the opportunity to achieve the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award here at school.

This scheme is fun, challenging and great for personal development. In particular, achieving the Gold Award sets our university applicants apart from the rest.

For the 'Skill' section students can count their music instrument lessons or teach themselves new cooking skills or how to make a web site. The 'Physical' section could include being in the School hockey team, or playing tennis with friends. The 'Volunteering' might involve working with our Junior School students, working in a charity shop or helping manage the DofE stores. The 'Expedition' section is conducted in the Yorkshire Wolds, Dales or Lake District.

See www.dofe.org for more details.
