Talk to Mount girls and they will soon start describing our school as their home from home. For day girls and boarders alike, time at The Mount builds lasting bonds that sustain girls into the future.
The school community is founded on The Mount's roots as a Quaker boarding school. All staff and pupils share, and benefit from, the Quaker values of care, responsibility and helping others.
These values are clear in the close links between school and home and the extensive support given to new pupils. They are also demonstrated in the school's strong volunteering tradition with opportunities ranging from working with refugees, to mentoring younger pupils and from assisting with a local project for the homeless in York, to reducing the school's environmental impact.
