Spectacular Spring Concert

Senior School musicians treated family and friends to a truly spectacular Spring Concert on Wednesday evening. After two years of online concerts, it felt very special indeed to be sat in School Hall, entranced by incredible talents of ensembles and soloists.

Senior Choir opened the evening with a joyous rendition of the ever-popular Super Trouper by ABBA, and ended the evening leading the audience in song with the aptly chosen, Thank You for the Music, also by ABBA. The ensembles were collectively impressive, with many girls taking multiple roles in different groups. The soloists were dazzling in their individual skills.

Principal David Griffiths thanked the girls and their music teachers for an outstanding performance and all of the hard work that went into it. Izzy and Nessa in College I presented flowers to Head of Music Rachel Derbyshire and Music Outreach Coordinator Mike O’Farrell with thanks from the girls.

Head of Junior School, Rachel Capper, said, “It was wonderful to watch the girls perform so beautifully, especially those who had come through the Junior School. To see them on stage, so happy and confident, having known them when they first began to play music, was a privilege. It was a magical evening.”
