Junior School Present The 12 Days of Christmas

After days of rehearsals, the final week of term got off to an exciting start, as the children in the Junior School performed their nativity on Monday afternoon.

Parents, family, and friends excitedly gathered eager to discover what was in store for them. Amongst the general buzz of excitable anticipation, the welcome sound of Christmas music greeted guests as they took to their seats.

The girls presented the traditional story of the Nativity and the 12 days of Christmas, accompanied by a sprinkling of choir performances, a light dusting of thoughtful reflection and an introduction to Christmas traditions from around the world, in honour of our international pupils and the variety of cultural backgrounds and heritages of our pupils.

Children from Early Years, to Year 6 took to the stage and shared the spotlight. Many of the younger children took on lead roles, eloquently delivering their lines. The story of the nativity was delivered by readers Ivy, Emily, Athena, and Ariana whose comedic timing had the audience in fits of laughter throughout.

The Nativity was written exclusively for the children of the Mount Junior School by our Resident Boarding Assistant and musical extraordinaire Ms Nia Passmore.
